TR-2

Due to the high demand for a padded version of the TR-1, we are pleased to announce the TR-2. The TR-2 has the exact same features as the TR-1, but it incorporates 1/4" closed cell foam which is enclosed in Mil-Spec Class 1 rated 2" tubular nylon. Like the TR-1, it adds to the existing QCS design by incorporating a side release buckle at the front end of the sling for quick and easy detaching of the weapon in the event of emergency type situations. Example: Even cut-away body armor is worthless in an upside down MRAP that’s sinking in a canal if your weapon sling is wrapped around you and holding your armor together. Try releasing QD swivels, hooks, snaps, or velcro in the dark, while upside down and wearing gloves. This is not an easy task. However, your hand can always blindly find and RELEASE a side release buckle. The TR-2 has side release buckles at both ends. It also incorporates a heavy duty stainless steel and cerakoted QD, which is sewn into a side release buckle at the buttstock end of the sling, which is designed to attach to a QD receptacle at the receiver end plate.

The versatility of this sling allows the weapon to be run in either a single point configuration or a two-point configuration. While used in a single point configuration, the weapon can quickly and easily be converted into a two-point configuration for weapon security, or for a more stable platform when taking longer distance shots. A proprietary thumb tab on the leading end HK style snap hook allows for easy transitioning to either configuration because it causes the thumb to be clear of the gate and hook while attaching or detaching to loop style front sling attachments or the single point buckle.

For those that prefer running this sling in a two-point configuration, the T-handle adjustment tab provides smooth instantaneous adjust of length while working around barricades or changing firing shoulders. Additionally, the TR-1 can quickly and easily be converted to single point configuration and then released from the rifle using the rear side release buckle; allowing easy storage of the rifle. Example: conducting Close Target Recce (CTRs) with the rifle out of sight. Upon contact, the operator can quickly return fire without the chance of the sling getting hung up while drawing the rifle from concealment. Upon first lull in fire, the operator can easily reattach the rear side release buckle and continue mission.

As with all of our slings, the TR-2 is built with U.S. made Mil-Spec Class 1 nylon (for critical / life support applications), or U.S. made Mil-Spec Multicam nylon, U.S. made Mil-Spec thread, and utilizes U.S. made heavy duty acetyl hardware and a U.S. made Mil-Spec steel adjustment buckle.
